McKinley`s Restaurant and Pub in Clayton

This is really a 4.5 star review.....why I have not been here in the years I've lived in the area is beyond me. After receiving HORRID service from a different Clayton establishment, we walked out frustrated and found ourselves here where, despite it being very busy on a Friday night, were seated promptly. Seneca our server was at our table pronto with a greeting and ready to take our drink order. And despite it being busy and crowded, it wasn't super loud in there. We could all hear each other talk over our draft Guiness and appetizers unlike other bars where it's super loud. Cozy atmosphere. Also despite being busy, our food was cooked exactly how we ordered it (burgers and steaks). Will definitely be a regular now. The only drawback is that their menu lacks a lot of Irish fare, hence the 4.5 star review. I wish there was more of that but it will not stop me from coming. The service was seriously outstanding and it was a good hearty meal.

Okay folks. This place does not suck. Not even a little bit. Food is fresh and good. Daily food and drink specials. Staff is friendly and attentive. If you are looking for a top notch restaurant and pub, look no further.

Try a cup of the Beer Cheese Soup. It's so good!

Nice little place, made me feel very at home. Went with the traditional fare of Shepard pie. Very impressed, great flavor even and large portion.

My wife and I decided to try a new restaurant in Clayton and McKinley's was it. The environment is filled with character. There's a tradition of writing a note on a dollar. Try it. It's cool. The service is quick and beer specials are cheap. Both of us ate good with a tip and a beer for under $40. Ask for the hidden menu wings. They're awesome. We're definitely coming back.

Nice average bar/restaurant experience. You've got all the essential bar food.. wings, chicken tenders, quesadillas, and several kinds of burgers plus you get some bonus Irish options like the Reuben, Irish Dip, and Shepherd's Pie. Staff were okay and service was quick. There's a good amount of seating with tables, booths, and at the bar. Nothing stood out to me in particular

Wings were good. Buddy got burger and it was not done at all. French fries were not either. Service very slow. This was lunch time and they were short staffed. Still a cool spot.

1st time there and staff was excellent, beer was cold, food was great and every football game on TV. This will be our NFL go to place 😊

I absolutely love this place! The food is always perfect. I love getting the chicken tenders with Korean chili sauce, and the onion rings are always delicious! All the servers are great especially Jasmine and Carmen. Whenever family is in town we go and they are always impressed. One of my cousins asked me the name of the place the other day saying he was thinking about the wings! Just go and see for yourself!

This place has a great atmosphere and friendly staff. It’s a popular local spot especially on the weekends. I ordered the fish and chips and it was hot and fresh! My husband got the steak and he enjoyed every last bite. I would recommend this place to anyone who asked!

Came in for work from.out of town. Great atmosphere and great people. On top of that the pricing is very reasonable and the food was amazing. Get the honey siracha wings you can't go wrong.

Great Sunday wing special! Just watch out for the staples in the seats.

The least Irish, "Irish pub" I have ever seen. They DO NOT KNOW HOW TO POUR A GUINNESS! The hot wings are really very good, but a pub claiming to be Irish should know how to pour a Guinness.

Worst food, straight up inedible fish and chips (not steak fries mind you but burnt, unsalted potato chips), Shepard’s pie made with instant mashed potatoes and rib eye with more fat and gristle than meat. Lousy beer selection (zero local beers). The staff seemed nice though...

Super friendly (Hi Daniel!) nice cold beer and the food is terrific! That's high praise, coming from a chef! It was so good that we ate there every day instead of looking for other options! I just moved here, and I feel like I found "my place"! Highly recommend!

The food was awesome & the service great! I had the Shepard's Pie it was just as good as the 1st time I was there. Been there a few times always Friendly atmosphere & prices are good. Definitely we'll go back. They have live music on Saturday nights 👍👍👍

Very cozy, relaxing place! I felt cared for and I was served by a very nice gentleman named Nick, I think. I like the fact that they have live entertainment there. I ordered a salad and a chicken and cheese quesadilla. It was delicious!! I will definitely be back and I'll be bringing my family the next time!

Standard pub fare with some outstanding specials and friendly atmosphere and staff. Great daily drink specials, reasonable prices and NC Keno makes this a local go to place.

Typical Irish pub scenery, without the Irish menu. My first encounter with the Pub was to ask for Corn Beef and Cabbage. It was promptly explained that they only had that on St. Patrick's day . So much for the authentic Irish Pub front .The food is good and the people who frequent this pub are very friendly. They have different types of things to keep you entertained while you dine . Not a terrible place to spend some time .

They had a limited menu and we were there before 10pm. But the food was good and service was great.

Ate here for lunch. Found the food to be very good. The salads were fresh and the dressing was good. For food I had a hamburger steak with mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfectly and the potatoes were fresh. Everything had great flavor. My partner has the shepherds pie and said that was also very good. Entire bill came to just under $20. Definitely recommend this place.

Went here last night after being ignored at Cleveland Draft House across the street and the waitress was able to greet, hand us menus, And take our drink order ALL WHILE singing karaoke. Very impressive! She was lovely! She has served us before and is just lovely! The food is decent, but I will definitely be returning because of her!

The staff here really took care of us! The place is chill and laid back, dark Irish pub atmosphere. Great food, with Baby Dan jr (host/server) and Jenn (waitress) taking amazing care of us!

I've been coming here since 2007. The service used to be hit or miss but in the last few years it's been really good. The food it awesome for pub food and I love their aftermath sauce for the wings. I recommend this place for the wings alone.

Went for wings as usual, and we're good. Staff was slacking tremendously as it took forever to get our taken as well as refills. Waitress was little busy when arrived but not after took our order, yet still slow. Very friendly but lacking in promptness unfortunately..

Just ate their 2 /23/20 . the worst food ibe ever ate!! The services was extremely slow. I had the rib combo. It was cold and just drowned in very thick, cold ,bold and spicy sauces. I onlu got 1/2 oz of slaw not nearly enough to cut thru all that sauce. Too me....it was a cover up mistake!!! The worst!! My friend go chic crumbs and it was suppose to b grilled chic. Hard as a bick bac!!! Only our second time going......itll b our last! Not worth the money nor the time it took.
